Thanks to the generous financial support of thousands of dedicated individuals, law firms and corporations from throughout the Chicago area, The Chicago Bar Foundation now awards over $2 million in grants each year to more than 40 legal aid and public interest law organizations, and related initiatives. The CBF’s grant programs are designed to help build the capacity of our pro bono and legal aid delivery system and to eliminate systemic barriers to equal access to justice. These grants provide critical general operating support for these organizations and support a number of special projects, fellowships, scholarships and initiatives that improve access to justice for the most vulnerable members of our community who are working to overcome poverty, abuse and discrimination.
