The venerable Abraham Lincoln left many legacies for our city, state and nation. None was more significant than his unwavering commitment to equal access to justice. The CBF Abraham Lincoln Circle of Justice is a prestigious group of lawyers, judges and other dedicated legal professionals who carry on Lincoln’s legacy.

“I believe that the CBF Lincoln Circle is a unique opportunity for dedicated lawyers to embrace their role as leaders in the fight for equal justice. My wife Karen and I are proud to be Lincoln Circle members, and hope others will join us in making a lasting commitment to bring about real change in the lives of people who depend on the legal system for their safety, security and a chance for a better life.” -Kimball R. Anderson, Chair of the CBF Lincoln Circle and charter member of the Lincoln Circle, along with his wife Karen Gatsis Anderson |
Making a Difference
Supporting the CBF through the Lincoln Circle is a solid investment in justice, and a unique opportunity to make a lasting commitment to bring about real change in the lives of people who depend on the legal system for their safety, security and a chance for a better life.
Through their generous commitment, our Lincoln Circle members give the CBF flexibility to address emerging needs as they develop and provide the venture capital that makes it possible for the CBF to aggressively pursue innovative projects that can significantly expand the availability of legal assistance for people in need. While the CBF Investing in Justice Campaign is the primary source of the CBF's direct financial support to the frontline legal aid organizations and dedicated attorneys serving people in need, funding from Lincoln Circle members fuels the CBF's ability to make longer-term, systemic change. Here are several examples of how Lincoln Circle members are making it possible for more low-income and disadvantaged people to get the legal help they deserve.
The list of current members and more information is available in the Lincoln Circle brochure.
