The CBF makes special grants during the year to support innovative projects that make the justice system more user-friendly and accessible for those in need. Using our system-wide perspective, the CBF helped to launch these initiatives in response to gaps in the legal aid delivery system. The CBF initiated many of these projects with funding from several significant cy pres awards, but given their broad impact on the Court and our justice system, the CBF is committed to sustaining them for the long term. Cy pres funds continue to be a critical source of the CBF’s ongoing support.

The CBF does not accept unsolicited proposals for Special Project grants.
