Michael Bergmann, a 2002 graduate of DePaul University College of Law, continues to work at PILI (Public Interest Law Initiative).  He started at PILI in 2006 as the Pro Bono Initiative Director.  He was named the Director of Programs in 2009 and Executive Director in December 2010.  Prior to joining PILI, Michael served as the Guardian ad Litem Program Director for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. 

Michael also is active in the ABA and is Chair-Elect of the ABA Young Lawyers Division for the 2011-12 bar year.  He is the first Chair to come from Illinois and the only public interest law attorney to serve as the Chair.

Michael completed his five years as an Anderson fellow, and his final loan installment has been forgiven.
